Abstract

A 12 year old girl came with the complaints of squinting of left eye an decreased vision since birth. BCVA was 6/6 in right eye and 6/18 in left eye. There was restriction of elevation in adduction in left eye with 70 prisms exotropia. A diagnosis left eye Brown's syndrome with exotropia with amblyopia was made and squint surgery was planned. Intraoperatively FDT was strongly positive for left superior oblique muscle. Hangback loop tenotomy of left superior oblique was done. For exotropia, lateral rectus recession with medial rectus resection with true transposition was done. Postoperatively, she had 12 prisms of left hypotropia which was cosmetically acceptable
