Abstract
A 76 years female with Immature cataract both eyes underwent SICS with PMMA PCIOL insertion in both eyes 6 weeks apart under similar conditions. Both eyes postoperative uncorrected vision was 6/12.While she enjoys a 6/9 correct vision of left eye till date, her right eye presented with painless progressive diminution of vision twice, first after 2 weeks since the surgery and second approximately after 3 months since the first episode where occlusio pupillae and mild reactions were in AC.Her IOP was normal throughout.AC tap was done after each presentation and culture sensitivity showed no growth of any organisms.Mantoux test,RA Factor,ANA, HLA B27 tested negative. She was managed with appropriate doses of steroid and cyclosporine topically.Laser membranectomy with pupiloplasty helped in early breakdown and resolution of the fibrionoid membrane. The patient is highly satisfied now as her vision was restored twice from perception of light to corrected vision of 6/9 in right eye.
