Abstract
Study design-Cross sectional hospital based. Purpose- we plan to report and study a case of bilateral uveal coloboma and unilateral lens coloboma.Ocular coloboma (OC) is a congenital anomaly represented by incomplete closure of fetal fissure during organogenesis . Vision of patient in both eyes is finger count at 2meter. On examination in both eye there is uveal coloboma with microphthalmos and left eye shows lens coloboma. Result-Vision can be improved with glasses or contact lenses or low vision aids,such patients should be counciled for guarded visual prognosis. Surgery is done for better cosmetic appearance of eyes or to treat associated complications associated with coloboma such as cataract, retinal detachment or multisystem disorder. Conclusion-prevalence of ocular coloboma is 1 in 2077 live births. Bilateral ocular coloboma have only symtomatic management there is no permanent cure to this condition.
