Abstract
STUDY DESIGN:
PROSPECTIVE OBSERVATIONAL STUDY
PURPOSE:
To study the correlation between AC/A ratio and stereoacuity in myopes.
METHODS:
45 Myopics were taken by convenient sampling and divided into 3 groups –-0.50- <3D, 3D-6D and >6D and AC/A ratio and Stereoacuity are measured using standard methods. ANOVA and Pearson correlation tests were used to analyse data.
RESULTS:
Mean of age 13.2±5.5, 15±7, 18.5±6.6; AC/A ratio 3.1±1.1, 3.8±1.1, 4.9±1.1 and stereoacuity 280±108, 390±225, 583±283 and correlation between AC/A ratio stereoacuity -0.07, -0.03, -0.06 in <3D, 3-6D, >6D groups respectively
CONCLUSION:
With increase in myopia an inverse relationship and negative correlations between AC/A ratio and stereoacuity were observed.
