Abstract
This retrospective study included the data of 184 myopic school students who had progression of myopia in the last one year. Myopia was defined as visual acuity < 5.0 and refractive error (spherical equivalent) of < − 0.50 diopters (D) in either eye. Based on spherical equivalent (SE) refractive error, students were classified as mild, moderate, high and severe myopic groups. Myopia progression was calculated as difference between SE at 1-year follow-up visit and at baseline and presence of risk factors were evaluated on the basis of a structured questionnaire.
