Abstract
Case Report of a 15-year-old boy with scabies referred for painful swelling in both upper lids since 1 week. Best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 6/9 in both eyes(BE) with normal anterior and posterior segment. He was diagnosed as dacryoadenitis in BE and was started on oral antibiotics & anti-inflammatory drugs. On imaging, features of dacryoadenitis were seen and other relevant blood investigations were normal. The patient presented 5 days later with signs of panuveitis uveitis with hypopyon in BE. BCVA was 6/36 in right eye and 6/36 in left eye and normal intraocular pressure in BE. Patient had neutrophilia and raised ESR. On further investigation, HLA B27 AND B5, ACE, P-ANCA, C-ANCA, HIV, IGG4 antibody were reported negative. Final diagnosis of concurrent presentation of dacryoadenitis and panuveitis in both eyes in a young patient was made. Patient showed good response to treatment with topical and oral steroids, cycloplegics and oral antibiotics
