Abstract

A 61 year old female patient presented in ophthalmology opd with complaints of severe pain ,redness and diminution of vision in right eye since last 7 days following cataract surgery 6 months back. on thorough examination Visual acuity was hand movement positive in right eye and 6\12 in left eye and on performing Goldman tonometry iop was 43.4 mmHg in Right Eye .Slit lamp examination revealed circumciliary congestion, corneal edema, , circumferential posterior synechia with iris bombe and pseudophakia in posterior chamber.No vitreous and choroidal abnormalities seen in posterior segment . she was treated with intravenous 20% mannitol and topical difluprednate, cyclopegics ,dorzolamide and timolol and oral acetazolamide.Nd-yag laser peripheral iridotomy was done after which iop reduced to 20 mmHg and depth of anterior chamber increased.one week later patient was discharged with visual acuity of 6/36,iop 19 mmHg..The patient is being constantly followed up in opd
