Abstract
Retinal vasculitis is a condition due to retinal vessel inflammation, associated with various infective, autoimmune, inflammatory, or neoplastic disorders causing vessel occlusions.
A 39 y/o female with Child-Turcotte-Pugh A liver cirrhosis, autoimmune hepatitis, Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder, and hypothyroidism, presented with sudden onset, painless left eye nasal field defect for 3 months. BCVA in right eye was 6/6, left eye was 6/60. Left eye had grade 1 RAPD, fundus had pale disc in both eyes, venous sheathing and hemorrhages in right eye, arteriolar narrowing in left eye, diagnosed with right eye phlebitis, left eye old BRAO. MCTD was diagnosed after anti-RNP antibodies positivity. She was started on steroids and immunosuppressants after rheumatology consult and anti-platelets after beta2-glycoprotein and ds-DNA positivity. She has been advised to review after 1 month at Eye OPD.
