Abstract

Study design: Cross sectional hospital based
Purpose: Reporting an unusual case of bilateral Atypical Ectopia Lentis in adult with no history of trauma.
Methods: On examination vision of patient was finger counting close to face in both eyes with inferonasal subluxation was seen in right eye and inferotemporal subluxation was seen in left eye with broken zonules and iridodonesis.
Results: Cataract extraction with anterior chamber intraocular lens implantation and superior peripheral iridotomy was done for visual rehabilitation
Conclusion: The reported prevalence of ectopia lentis is 6 per 100,000. Atypical Ectopia Lentis with phacodonesis was successfully visually rehabilitated with cataract extraction and anterior chamber iol implantation.
