Abstract
Purpose-To report a case of intradermal nevus in right eye confirmed with histopathological examination
Method-A 31 year old female presented with complain of brownish discoloration in right eye since childhood which was gradually progressive in nature.Detailed ophthalmologic examination including visual acuity,slit lamp examination,gonioscopy,fundus evaluation was done.UBM was done.Excision biopsy was done and specimen was sent for histopathological examination.
Results-Visual acuity in right eye was 6/6.Slit lamp examination of right eye revealed a melanocytic lesion in the temporal interpalpebral conjunctiva of 7×8mm extending from the limbus.The lesion is flat ,with few cystic spaces varying in colour from tan to dark brown in colour.Preoperative UBM shows superficial involvement without intraocular spread.HPE showed epidermis with nevus cells arranged in nests.Papillary dermis showed pigmented nevus cells with no junctional activity.Features suggestive of intradermal nevus.
