Abstract
Purpose:to report a rare case of supraorbital ossifying fibroma in an adult.
Materials and methods:A 28 year old female presented to OPD with a painless slowly progressive swelling in the left brow area for1 year,causing mild drooping of left eye lid and cosmetic disturbance. No complaints of doublevision.medical,family,history was unremarkable .
The patient had mild ptosis.swelling was well circumscribed, hard, nonmobile,nonadherent to skin. ocular and systemic examination was unremarkable.
Imaging reports were suggestive of left periorbital intraosseous haemangioma without intracranial extension.
management: Patient underwent total surgical excision of the lesion under GA with 1 mm margins by supraorbital brow incision. Histopathology report showed ossifying fibroma.
Conclusion : ossifying fibroma more common in children & rare in adults.When presents in adults,it has good prognosis after surgical excision.
