Abstract
Study design:Interventional study.Purpose:To report the management of vitreous at pupillary area after cataract surgery by ND:YAG laser. Methods:A 54 year old lady came with a chief complaint of decreased vision in right eye since 6 months.Right eye vision is PL+ve with mature cataract.Planned for Right eye cataract surgery.Intraoperatively PC rent noted,sponge vitrectomy done,IOL placed in sulcus On day1 of post operative period eye was quiet with IOL in place so discharged with topical steroids,cycloplegics and antibiotics ,asked to review after a week.POD-7 we noted clump of vitreous at the pupillary area of right eye and very shallow anterior chamber with descemets folds on cornea with IOP being normal.Planned for Right eye yag vitreolysis.Results:Vitreous at pupillary border was cleared and anterior chamber has become deep,after one week vision improved to 6/9. Conclusion:ND:YAG vitreolysis is a non invasive method for the management of vitreous at pupillary area postoperatively
