Abstract

An infant brought to our OPD with child's parents reported of whitish opacity in both eye since birth ,enlarged eyes , difficulty in visual tracking and absence of eye contact.
Patient was admitted for detailed evaluation and pediatric consultation was done and was diagnosed as Dandy Walker syndrome with Hydrocephalous, HPVP shunt surgery was done within 15 days. After systemic stabilization ophthalmic evaluation under GA was done. Significant finding includes bilateral dense corneal opacities involving the central visual axis were present, and increased diameter of cornea in both eye with normal intraocular pressure. The opacities were non-progressive since birth and did not exhibit any signs of inflammation.
The infant was scheduled for regular ophthalmologic follow-up visits in cornea clinic.
