Abstract

Purpose – Diagnosing a case of multifocal choroiditis
Case report – A 52 yrs Male presented with Blurring of vision since 2months with known case of diabetes and hypertension.Ocular examination followed by series of blood investigation, imaging and chest x-ray was performed.
Results – Visual acuity is 6/36(RE) and 6/60(LE) with pin hole no improvement .Anterior segment examination showed bilateral pterygium with signs of vitritis. Fundoscopy findings -Multiple creamy white chorioretinal lesion in both eyes. OCT confirmed macular edema.FFA revealed hot disc with disc leak and leaking around vessels.
Blood investigations were negative for any infectious etiology. There is decreased Haemoglobin while other parameters were within normal limit.
Management – Topical and systemic Methyl prednisolone was given with tapered dose.The follow up showed visual improvement.
Conclusion – Multifocal choroiditis is a diagnosis of exclusion following series of investigation to rule possible etiology.
