Abstract

A one-eyed 52-Year-old male was diagnosed with Chronic Angle Closure Glaucoma, hazy cornea, and shallow AC.
A combined Phaco with trab planned through a single superior route. A partial thickness scleral flap was made and a side port was made for capsulorhexis. During capsulorhexis floppiness of the iris was noted and a rhexis of 4.75 mm was made. Grade 3 nucleus was emulsified by direct chopping. Pt. developed sudden bradycardia which was managed by the Anaesthetist. PCIOL implanted. Sclerectomy and iridectomy were performed. Ologen biodegradable implant partially over the scleral flap and superior fornix.
After 1 month BCVA improved to 6/12 and a functional bleb with IOP of 9 mm of Hg.
