Abstract
Study Design: This study aimed to investigate the potential predictive value of hemoglobin levels in assessing optic disc health.
Purpose: Exploring correlation between hemoglobin and optic disc
Methods: A total of 100 participants underwent comprehensive ophthalmic examinations, including measurement of hemoglobin levels and analysis of optic nerve parameters using retinal imaging techniques.
Results: Statistical analysis revealed a significant correlation between hemoglobin levels and optic disc parameters, such as cup-to-disc ratio, neuroretinal rim thickness, and optic disc size.(P<0.01)
Conclusion: Hemoglobin levels may serve as a predictive marker for optic disc health, providing insights into the potential role of systemic factors in influencing optic nerve integrity.
