Abstract

Purpose-to Evaluate the pattern of Ocular manifestations,study ocular features with reduced visual outcome,etiology,type in Orbital wall Fractures.Methods-A prospective study of 25cases of orbital fractures were conducted and all cases with CTscan or radiological evidence of orbital fractures were included. The CTfindings were documented with thorough Ocular examination done.Supportive medical treatment given and if indications present,performed orbital wall reconstruction surgeries and necessary other procedures. Results-In this study young adult groups,males are mostly affected. RTA being common cause,Optic nerve was the common cranialnerve to be involved.Isolated lateral orbital wall fracture was most common followed by roof of orbit fracture.closed globe injury was common than open globe injury.Conclusion-Methods of prevention for RTA ,Early diagnosis,treatment/referral are important things associated with visual acuity recovery in orbital wall fractures.
