Abstract

STUDY DESIGN : Cross sectional observational study

PURPOSE : To evaluate the association between morphology of Disorganized retinal inner layers (DRIL) and visual acuity in patients diagnosed to have Diabetic macular edema (DME).

METHODS : This cross sectional observational study is carried out among 50 patients who presented with Diabetic macular edema. Visual acuity and CMT parameters were taken and analyzed for DRIL with Pearson correlation coefficient.

RESULTS : A significant negative correlation is observed between the two parameters (p<0.05) and analysed.

CONCLUSION: DRIL is associated with Visual Acuity and change in DRIL predicts future change in Visual acuity .
