Abstract
AIM
To analyze the incidence, mode, site of injury and to observe and manage the abnormalities secondary to lid trauma.
This is the prospective study which includes all the patients with fresh lid injury.
PERIOD OF STUDY DESIGN-Dec 2022-May2023
METHODS
30 patients with traumatic eyelid injury presenting to Hitech medical college and Hospital, Bhubaneswar were evaluated and followed up. All were subjected to detailed history taking, immediate interventions and evaluation of time of injury, site, mode and anterior segment evaluation to see the extent of injury. Complete slit lamp examination was done, Visual Acuity and extraocular movements was assessed and followed. Investigation like X-rays, OCT, MRI, Ct scan was carried out when needed.
RESULT
Among 30 patients of lid trauma were included in the study, less than 40 years were most common age of presentation, Male are more affected than females. RTA was most common mode constitute 33.3%. Upper lids were involved 43.3%.
