Abstract
Study design: Study conducted as cross-sectional observational study at tertiary hospital
Purpose: Blood dyscrasias, encompassing disorders of the blood, exhibit ocular manifestation, particularly in retina. However there is limited literature on impact of these condition on vision-related quality of life
Methods: Total 200 patients with blood dyscrasias were included. Comprehensive ocular examinations including dilated fundus examination were performed. Vision-related quality of life assessed using NEI VFQ-25
Results: Retinopathy observed in 99 patients. Most common retinal finding -venous tortuosity dilation, intraretinal hemorrhage, soft exudates. Significant association found between retinopathy in blood dyscrasias and vision related quality of life
Conclusion: Finding underscore importance of fundus examination in these patient for early detection and management of retinal involvement. Further research warranted to understand mechanisms of retinopathy in different blood dyscrasias
