Abstract
AIM:- To present pattern of Paediatric Uveitis in patients attending Uveitis-Neuro- ophthalmology clinic at a tertiary institute of Northeast India.STUDY DESIGN:-Retrospective study METHOD:Paediatric patients presenting with Uveitis.SUN protocol to report clinical data. Presenter reviewed 16 paediatric uveitis patients from the manual record under 16 years age. Types/causes/ gender/age/laterality etc were recorded. Retinal vasculitis, Scleritis and Episcleritis were taken as exclusion criteria. RESULTS :-16 cases presented in 2012 with varied manifestations of Paediatric uveitis .Age range- Below 16years , male-12, female-4, presenting as, Anterior uveitis(n=5),Intermediate uveitis(n=3),Posterior uveitis(n=3) and Panuveitis(n=5). Unilateral cases(n=9),Bilateral cases(n=7). Granulomatous uveitis(n=3), Non-granulomatous uveitis(n=13).Infectious cause(n=5), Non-infectious cause(n=11).CONCLUSION:-Paediatric uveitis comprises 4.66% of uveitis cases in a referral practice in northeast India
