Abstract
Introduction:Eventhough malignancies are a rare cause,under evaluation of vitreous haemorrhage of unknown etiology leads to delayed diagnosis and poor management of intraocular malignancy.Purpose: to find factors helping to consider malignancy as differential diagnosis of vitreous haemorrhage thus help Oncologist for early diagnosis, workup and treatment.Methods:Observational cross sectional study in a tertiary eye hospital among 130 patients attending OPD with vitreous haemorrhage between May 2022-March 23.All cases were evaluated with BCVA,slitlamp,IOP, indirect ophthalmoscopy,B scan,OCT.Result:Malignancy were rare cause of vitreous haemorrhage(15%)Among that choroidal melanoma(2%), leukemia (10%) were common. Conclusion:Most bilateral Vitreous haemorrhages were caused by advanced intraocular or intraorbital cancers or post radiation.
