Abstract
PURPOSE – To report the clinical presentation and management of atypical oculomycosis caused by Lasiodiplodia Species.
METHOD – This observational study includes three eyes of 3 patients with Lasiodiplodia keratitis .The diagnosis of Lasiodiplodia keratitis was confirmed by culture-based microbiological analysis.
First patient presented with corneal ulcer 3*3 mm in size with feathery margins, hypopyon of 2 mm size with descemetocele formation.VA was HMCF.
Second patient presented with corneal ulcer 2*3 mm in size extending upto stromal layer having feathery margins , multiple satellite lesions and hypopyon of 1 mm.VA was HMCF.
Third patient presented with corneal ulcer of 3*3 mm size extending to stromal layer having feathery margins and hypopyon of 2 mm size. VA was HMCF.
Topical voriconazole 2 hourly 1 % was started after culture report in all 3 patients and patient showed improvement.
RESULT – Topical voriconazole found to be effective treatment option for lasiodiplodia keratitis.
