Abstract
To present the surgical procedures of Bent Ab-interno Needle Goniectomy (BANG) and Kahook Dual Blade Glide (KDB) and report the initial outcomes of each procedure.
Synopsis: Both BANG and KDB are MIGS procedures performed ab-interno using an intra-operatiive gonioscope. BANG is a cost-effective option for management of mild-to-moderate glaucoma where a 90-degree unroofing of Schlemm’s canal is done via a bent 26 G needle. The same can be performed with a special blade (KDB) which is available at a higher cost when compared to a 26 G needle. Video demonstration of the procedures (BANG and KDB) with relative advantages and disadvantages and initial outcomes of each will be presented in the video.
